It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to you all to attend this first Primary Healthcare Summit, organized by the Comprehensive Primary Healthcare Collaboratory (CPHC), HKUMed.
Hong Kong has been striving to advance its primary healthcare in recent years through promoting primary care collaboration, strengthening primary care capacity, enhancing primary care services and engaging the community. The Primary Healthcare Blueprint was launched by the government in 2022 to provide a comprehensive strategy to steer the city’s primary healthcare development in the next decade. In HKUMed, we also established the CPHC at the start of the year to play our part in this important healthcare development, through multidisciplinary education and professional training, research, and knowledge exchange.
The Summit aims to bring together healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, service providers, industry partners and other stakeholders at the community to share and discuss the latest updates, innovations, and challenges in primary healthcare reform. Our keynote speakers and panelists are renowned experts in the field of primary healthcare and will provide valuable insights on various topics in the domains of Education, Health Informatics, Medical, Policy, Public Health and Social Healthcare, both domestic and overseas. We are also delighted to have the Department of Health, the Hospital Authority and the Primary Healthcare Commission to be our key supporting organisations of this event.
I am confident that you will find the Summit both informative and fulfilling, and we look forward to your participation in this event in a concerted effort to propel primary healthcare development.
